Polish Interior was contracted to refurbish all the old joinery at Carnbooth House Hotel in Glasgow. We presented a comprehensive plan with accurate CAD drawings, then a 1:1 working sample once the client agreed to proceed. Our windows were fully approved by Historic Scotland. The project included new curved sash windows, oak panelling and architraves, and re-used the old stained glass inside new double-glazed units. In total we made 88 sash box windows, and the project, including fitting, was worth over £70,000. Carnbooth House Hotel won first prize for Low Carbon Building of the Year 2010 (refurbishment category) at the Scottish Energy & Environment Conference.
